Viking history is full of great leaders. Though it remains a heated debate whether those figures are historical or legendary, they impress us a lot. This first chapter will be about five great Viking leaders including Ragnar Lothbrok, Ivar the Boneless, Rollo of Normandy, Erik the Red, and Leif Erikson.

They were Ivar the Boneless who was a crippled Viking becoming a military genius, Bjorn Ironside with the incredible strength in his arm, Hvitserk with his great bravery, and Sigurd Ragnarson with his burning desire to revenge and to show his Viking warrior spirit.

Halfdan Ragnarsson was among famous sons of Ragnar. He was not only a great Viking warrior but he was also a man of bravery, dignity, and honor. In the tales of Ragnar's sons, Halfdan was a kind of family-orientated figure. Some accounts told that Halfdan became the King of Dublin in his later years.

He was the Viking warlord and the Danish king. But the old boar had had his day when he fell into the hand of King Aella of Northumbria.
Hervor: From An Abandoned Child to Great Viking Shieldmaiden

Hervor was one of the most famous legendary Viking shieldmaidens. She was the daughter of a great warrior who was born by a berserker. When Hervor was born, she was abandoned into the forest. But that didn't end the life of a bold warrior. She grew up to be a great Viking warrior and a war-band leader.
