The Vikings did have for themselves Christmas celebration. But we call it the Yule celebration. During this festival, the Vikings celebrated the return of the sun after a long absence. They also thanked their gods and ancestors for the blessing and the help make their harvest fruitful.
What is the Misleading Root of the Viking Horned Helmet

Whether the Vikings used the horned helmet or not has been a tricky question to the scholars and archaeologists. While archaeologists are yet to excavate any Viking horned helmets, they found the tapestry depicting the Viking wearing helmets with horns. The Vikings worshipped the Mjolnir hammer of Thor. In Norse mythology, Thor had a hammer which helped him create thunder and lightning. He wielded his hammer to protect his friends and his people. Though the Mjolnir hammer had a shortcoming, Thor coped with it making it become the weapon that the Viking community worshipped.
