The pendant is amazing. The chain that came with it had knots in it when it arrived. I tried to get the knots out but couldn't. So I ended up putting the pendant on a different chain.

The look weight and size was a nice surprise , one thing I did not like was the clasp is to weak, for the weight of the pendant, as nice as this looks, the chain clasp spoils it.

I've followed the Viking way of life for most of my teen and adult life. I was abandoned with my little brother when I was 3years old, he was 1y4m old, We were left at Union Station in Chicago. I held him, fiercely protecting him, for three days not letting anyone close. The police finally grabbed us up, and placed us in a catholic orphanage. I left my foster home I was placed with when I turned 12. Survived on my own in a forest preserve down from their house for roughly 2 years, then found a way to get a trailer from mowing lawns as well as a 1968 Galaxy 500 4door. When I turned 16 I filed for emancipation, when it was granted, I left the courthouse and walked straight to The Marine Corp Recruiting station and signed up for delayed entry. I fought for everything I had, never giving up, even when Bullied for being homeless, not having family, being so short, having red hair, having very large calves and forearms as well as feet way to big for my small frame. I Fought. I had a growth spurt between freshman and sophomore year, went from 4'6" to 5'10". I gained weight as well, from 98lbs to 175lbs. I was swimming in the river in that forest preserve, felling trees for shelter, rafts, running and hiking the 2,500 acre slice of heaven. In the middle of that summer, I jumped into the rain swollen dam to pull 3 10yo boys out of it. 2 survived David went under and so did I. the witnesses stated my body was stuck in the undertow for 00:02:58, all I remember is being pushed in by an irate fool and springing off the dam as not to fall on top of David, the next thing I saw was a green light I sprung up towards. I found David's body 500 feet down river, pulled him out to an island and continued with the cpr I started as I was pulling him out. He passed 2 weeks later. after they got Him (paramedics) to the ambulance, I collapsed, that also when I found out I had drowned as well. Why am I saying all this, that's when I was told Of Oden and The Valkyrie. I was 15. My life went on to be one unbelievable tale after another, achieving goals and crossing boundaries an average being may perish from, Following Paths of the Old teachings but understanding that wasn't my original tribe, I also Followed the ways of (I was taken in and passed the tests to be given respect and My name RunningWolf). So I followed what my heart felt was right, but I didn't know where I came from, who I was, I just walked a path of darkness, with just the love of the old stories to keep my soul at bay. Then it happened. I finally gave in to what and where I was at, understanding I was never going to find out My story of heritage. 3 days later My Younger brother Called me, He said he found our birth family, Found our real Names, Found we have an Older Brother. It took me a year to the day (September 18th) to completely be at Peace with What my Story was, the whos the whys, the pain of knowing the truth. I also did a DNA test to see exactly what I was ( 3 Brothers, 3 different Fathers). Its Ironic to find the paths I chose to Follow, the books I've read and the stories told to me by people of the Tribes and Being. I'm 39% Scandinavian, 28% Scottish, 21% Iroquois, with the remainder being Sicilian 6%, English and Irish split the remaining 6%. So Nature or Nurture. Now that long story comes down to I was finally able to go to a Pow-Wow and not feel as the last 29 years of going to them I was just a hang-around wannabe. For the Years I wore a Kilt, It Is now My Right not just a fashion statement, Finally My Valor, My lack of fear for the Battle, The stories Old, have come to meaning and not just tales. Your Neck Piece was My first Gift to Myself Of My Now Realized Culture. I wear this With Pride and Honor, a Feeling of Inclusion, not just of a design of Fine Craftsmanship and Beauty of Conception. But The Honor Of Showing such Art as of My Own Heritage. Explaining to those that admire, Not only The amazing Pendant, But the Quality in craftsmanship of the Chain and reason for the links to be made as such. So You See, Not necessarily to quantify the reasons to have this Work of art, I wanted you to know the story of the of a Boy that had a story of his own strength and fighting spirit, to the Man that grew to the understanding Of what responsibility to have such Knowledge, Power and respect of The culture That came to be His own.
